This New Year’s collaboration presents a set of lively,
cheerful and intelligent dragon images
as the main motif to welcome
the Chinese New Year of the Year of the Dragon.
Long Di, a native of Chongqing, now lives in Beijing.
Her work is a foreshadowing and reflection on
gender relations and female identity,
as well as a dissection of being human
in the current historical moment.
Embarking on a six-month odyssey through
prominent museums, the artist delved into
the rich tapestry of Chinese history,
deciphering the profound sybolism of dragon and phoenix.
In a harmonious collaboration with SHANGHAI TANG,
this immersive journey metamorphosed into a vibrant
and animated Dragon and Phoenix series,
breathing life into the canvas of cultural expression.

the artist's majestic flying dragon gracefully

Long Di created three limited quantity prints,
